Business Services Representative Would you like to contact businesses and employers to market the services of a non-profit and help to place our individual clients? Workforce Alliance 's mission is to develop an employment and training system to meet the needs of employers and the skills development needs of our regional workforce. We service 30 cities & towns in the South Central Region of CT. We have 32 employees and oversee an American Job Center with 30 additional staff. The Business Services Representative is responsible for marketing Workforce Alliance (WA) services to employers within the WA region and marketing identified career opportunities to job seekers and community partners. The Representative has an industry sector specialization such as health care, manufacturing, information technology, etc. Responsibilities include the following: Recruits employers, conducts employer visits and defines business needs. Markets WA employer-based programs and services (such as OJT, Subsidized Employment, customized and incumbent training) Supports WA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion goals to e xpand efforts to serve minority-owned businesses and entrepreneurs. In addition, continues to support employers in diversifying recruitment and hiring. Actively engages and energizes staff, job seekers and/or partners to generate appropriate referrals for identified job opportunities. Position Requirements B achelor's degree preferably in Social Services, Human Resources, Management or a related discipline. At least 3-5 years of related experience, including sales/business development experience and/or workforce development experience. Must be a self-starter. Excellent communications, relationship and collaboration skills. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and implement new ideas. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
