Import Coordinator

Summary/Objective
The Import Coordinator will be assisting the Traffic/Logistics team with their daily functions. This person will need to have strong organizational skills and be able to multi-task.

Essential Functions

• Print shipping advice from overseas for divisions & review documents for accuracy
  
• Assign shipping numbers in the internal VOXX logs for several divisions
  
• Enter shipping information (AS400); double check the FOB matches the invoice
  
• Request revised documents and shipping advice from overseas if necessary
  
• Track shipping file for receipt of documents, create invoices, set-up and enter data
  
• Liaison between local office and overseas location
  
• Create files for each shipment and save documents to internal departmental drive
  
• Filing & scanning
  
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
  
• Ad hoc projects as needed
  
  Preferred Education and Experience
  
  • 1-2 years experience in an office environment
    
  • Associates degree is Business or related experience
    
  • Experience within a Logistics department a plus
    
    Desired Skills
    
    • Excellent computer skills, specifically Excel
      
    • JD Edwards(AS400) knowledge a plus
      
    • Ability to work on multiple projects at once
      
    • Effective oral and written communication skills
      
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills
      
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
      
      This position may require domestic travel. Must be able to sit for an extended period of time
