Standard (M-F equal number of hours per day) Searchable Job Family Administration Total # of hours to be worked: 40 Position Focus: Oversee all aspects of performance activities for the faculty-led Yale Baroque Opera Project and the Yale Dance Lab, ensuring compliance with policies and best practices. Manage organization websites, ticketing, and publicity processes. Foster an inclusive and respectful working environment around production activity at Yale College. Carry out duties while exercising a high degree of autonomy and discretion.

We are building an anti-racist organization peopled by individuals who share and support this mission, and who reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. 1.--Serves as the staff administrator for the major professional performance activities of the department and concert series.2.--Oversees financial operations for the organization.3.--Manages Front of House coordination and ensures that the Front of House policies are created consistently with the presentation vision of each program.4.--Ensures that the administration of music production is run appropriately and efficiently.5.--Negotiates contracts for all performances and activities under the responsibility of this position. Ensures that all contract details are properly carried out.6.--Collaborates with other operations and production managers.7.--Ensures that student assignments are completed in a timely manner for all concerts and other special events.6.--8.--Oversees all aspects of promotion and public relations, including the timely creation of programs and promotional materials.9.--Serves as staff leader of calendar planning, working in collaboration with production managers and appropriate faculty and staff from programs both within and outside the department.10.--Creates a process to ensure that streaming and other digital dissemination have proper rights clearances, and that the recording studio knows which events are to be recorded and/or streamed.11.--Oversees all aspects of guest artist participation in concerts and other events.--12.--As assigned by Director, oversee aspects of alumni relations and fundraising.13.--May perform other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree Music or a related area and five years of work experience as an arts administrator or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Skill/Ability 1: Knowledge of production-related health and safety best practices and concerns and ability to identify and correct potential hazards. Required Skill/Ability 2: Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize complex workload. Required Skill/Ability 3: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and flexibly with a large number of faculty, staff, students, community members, guest artists, and other professionals representing a wide diversity of personalities and cultures. Required Skill/Ability 4: Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. Preferred Education, Experience and Skills: Event management experience, experience managing websites, and experience in dance and/or opera preferred.
