Job Summary The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing and implementing all production operations and shop activities. The Production Supervisor is responsible for mentoring and coaching production personnel, direct supervision of select departments, and coordinating the activities of material handling and tool usage management. Working in conjunction with Engineering, Quality, Tool Room and Environmental Health and Safety, the Production Supervisor ensures on-time delivery of high quality products that are produced in a safe and efficient manner while maximizing capacity with minimum cost. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. This position requires strong leadership and people skills with the ability to grasp technical concepts and translate to effectively mentor employees and achieve production department KPIs. The position will be responsible for hiring, discipline, and documentation of all production employees. This position also requires the ability to effectively interact with diverse groups of professionals and cultures within and outside of the company. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree/or Similar - Engineering/Manufacturing related. 10+ years leading/supervising in manufacturing will be considered in lieu of a degree. * Experience using problem solving tools such as five "Whys", Kaizen, Fishbone diagrams, Lean Six Sigma, etc. * Able to communicate company goals and initiatives to employees. * Must have excellent organizational skills. * Ability to perform multiple tasks and work within specified time lines. * Must have the ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and have the flexibility to support operations in accordance with departmental and company schedules and priorities. * Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, technical aptitude, and problem solving skills. * Strong team skills, including the ability to coach and develop work teams and provide appropriate training. * The ability to motivate/empower others, and resolve conflict. * Must be flexible and able to manage multiple priorities. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Solid computer skills.
