Job Description:

MISSIONThis Machine Operator / Assembler will be responsible for operating robotic machinery used for the assembly of carbon brushes. The duties and responsibilities dictate the safety and efficiency of everyone around them. They must remain focused and diligent in performing their tasks correctly and with care to keep everything running smoothly. Their duties and responsibilities may include:

  • Operation of various machinery, including robotic tamping, grinders, drill press, slot machine etc.
  • Setting up manufacturing equipment for daily use
  • Maintaining equipment and machinery so they can operate safely
  • Training and overseeing other employees on specialty machines
  • Maintaining the understanding of operating procedures for their machines
  • Proposing improvements to the process or machines as needed
  • Reporting safety hazards within the work environment
  • Use measuring instruments
  • Prepare parts for processing
  • Maintain cleanliness of immediate area
  • Comply with all Health and Safety procedures.
  • Comply with ISO policies & procedures.
  • Assembly of carbon brushes.
  • Other projects as assignedREQUIREMENTS
    • Experience on manufacturing
    • Experience with automatic equipment (a plus)
    • Good math skills - Angles, geometry etc
    • Secondary education / High school diploma / On-the-job training.
    • Ability to read and understand English.
    • Professional experience required : 0-3 yearsWORKING CONDITIONSConditions are consistent with other similar manufacturing environments. Work involves prolonged standing and frequent lifting of products and material up to 50 lbs. Machinery operation requires use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection and safety (steel toe) boots. Loose fitting clothes, shorts pants, sleeveless shirts and jewelry are not allowed.Mon - Fri. Either 1st shift - 6:00 am to 2:30 pm or 2nd shift - 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm40 hours per week plus opportunity for overtime.
