Job Description:

Curia Global, Inc. seeks Project Engineer III, part of the Engineering and Maintenance department at its Rensselaer, New York facility, who will design, oversee, and develop pharmaceutical manufacturing projects. This position will create and review project plans and proposals, which involves working with management to develop project objectives. The Project Engineer III position will also identify project responsibilities by determining the phases and elements of the project and calculating time frames and project sequences.

Specifically, the Project Engineer III position will perform the following duties:

Prepare and distribute a description and timeline of the pharmaceutical manufacturing project, review product design, customer requirements performance standards, determine project specifications, develop P & IDs;

Present cost estimates and performance standards, conduct testing assuring safe and satisfactory product performance;

Prepare and review contractor bids, interview and assignment of personnel to specific phases and elements of the pharmaceutical manufacturing project, oversee and coordinate the technical aspects of the project including preparation and execution of validation & change control protocols required to maintain compliance with cGMPs;

Prepare status reports and monitor budgets, contractors and schedules;

Allocate project resources, approve expenditures, review employee contractor contracts, prepare reports and maintain electronic data bases of all elements of pharmaceutical manufacturing projects;

Present procedures, rules and regulations to employees on the pharmaceutical manufacturing project, maintain a safe, clean and productive environment by enforcing proper procedures, maintain compliance with state and federal regulations for all projects; and

Negotiate and management of contracts and agreements with engineering contractors, vendors, regulatory and government agencies.

Requirements: This position requires a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the engineering field, which includes two (2) years of experience with the following tools/software:

PFDs, P&IDs, 3D modeling, HFDs and plot plan drawings;

ASME BPE, ASTM and API codes;

AutoCad;

AFT Fathom;

AFT Arrow;

COMOS;

HTRI; and

IDEAS Simulation.
