Job Description:
The Body Imaging Division of the Department of Radiology &
Biomedical Imaging at Yale New Haven School of Medicine is seeking
a new Division Chief. The Body Imaging division at Yale is composed
of two cohesive sections (Ultrasound and Abdominal imaging) whose
19 faculty members provide subspecialty expertise in magnetic
resonance imaging, ultrasound, computed tomography, and
fluoroscopy. The division has built up a strong reputation for
clinical excellence, academic productivity, innovation, and
enviable education/mentoring. Faculty members are committed to
teaching at the graduate and post-graduate levels while delivering
high-quality clinical care. The breadth of experience among the
faculty is reflected in the wide range of academic pursuits enjoyed
by the division. The faculty work closely with our referring
providers through numerous tumor boards and research
collaborations, ensuring the best clinical care for our patients.We

to teaching Yale Medical Students and the Diagnostic and
Interventional Radiology Residents, the division hosts two
Cross-sectional Imaging fellowship positions (with rotations in
Ultrasound, Body CT, Body MR as well as electives), two Body MRI
fellowship positions, and one combined Body/Cardiac Imaging
fellowship position.The Department prioritizes every opportunity to
promote its faculty through either excellent academic pursuits or
strong clinical service. As early pioneers of body imaging, our
team consists of innovative leaders and nationally recognized
experts in the field. Current areas of academic strength include
vascular ultrasound, prostate MRI, hepatobiliary oncological
imaging, and MRI safety. With a flourishing body imaging fellowship
and one of the largest radiology residencies in the country, the
incoming leader will be overseeing a rich environment where medical
education, training, and research are developing at the highest
level.The Division Chief will act as the departmental subject
matter expert on issues concerning future developments in the field
of body imaging. Areas of expertise should include body MR, US, or
CT but might also include technological advancements, changes in
the landscape of radiology reimbursement, future legislative
requirements, Health System policy, as well as upcoming mandates
from governing bodies. The Division Chief will remain current on
all aspects of body imaging and be able to advise on the best way
to address those while working within the confines of the
Department's strategic plan and its mission objectives.In
conjunction with the Yale New Haven Hospital Managers and section
chiefs for CT/MR and US, they will also be primarily responsible
for defining and enhancing a progressive clinical operational
policy for body imaging and applying this effectively across the

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: MD, MD/Ph.D., or equivalent, a minimum of 5
years of clinical experience in abdominal radiology, ABR Board
certified, and eligible to obtain an unrestricted Connecticut
medical license. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with
