To meet the basic qualifications for the Electronic Warfare Systems Engineer role you will have at least a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Master's Degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Systems Engineering preferred, 10+ years of relevant professional work experience in Electronic Warfare, Electronic Support Measures (ESM), or Radar Systems and have demonstrated abilities in the following:



  • Technical principles, theories and concepts of basic RF transmitter, receiver, and antenna design principles


  • Probability, statistics, random processes, communications theory, estimation theory, digital signal processing


  • RF radar/communications path estimation-models, noise estimation theory, digital signal processing


  • Knowledge of embedded processors and digital hardware


  • Development, engineering, interfacing and integration of hardware, firmware and software systems


  • Software components including firmware, operating systems, drivers, applications and other computing system software


  • Hardware components including electrical equipment, digital processing hardware (ASIC, CPLD, FPGA), circuit boards, microprocessor systems, computer system architectures and interfaces


  • Supplier/subcontractor and operations relationship and management experience


  • Strong self-motivation and initiative


  • Familiarity with airborne electronic warfare domain is required


  • Flexibility to travel for customer purposes as required;


  • Position available in Clifton, NJ, Amityville, NY, Van Nuys, CA or Melbourne, FL; flexibility to travel to other Harris facilities will be required.


    More specifically, in this role you will:


    • Perform technical planning and system architechure development


    • Contribute to new business development and ensure the logical and systemic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.


    • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements, and allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.


    • Cost and Risk and Supportability and Effectiveness analyses for total systems (concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance & disposal)


    • Partner with and manage supplier relationships


    • Work in a highly dynamic hardware & software development and integration lab


    • Lead technical teams.


      Qualifications:


      • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Master's Degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Systems Engineering preferred


      • 10+ years of relevant professional work experience in Electronic Warfare, Electronic Support Measures (ESM), or Radar Systems


      • You MUST be a U.S. citizen and have Secret security clearance.
