Job Description:

Hardesty & Hanover is offering an exciting opportunity for a Chief Electrical Inspector in our Construction Services Division located in New York City. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Working knowledge of mathematics with the ability to apply mathematical formulas and engineering principles to determine field measurements and adjustments
• Ability to maintain detailed journal entries and produce daily reports for pay quantity records and construction management daily reports
• Operational knowledge of field inspection equipment
• Ability to manage inspectors and field staff as required
• Ability to work with the Resident Engineer and Office Engineer to prepare sketches/documents as required Requirements:
  • Associates or BS in Engineering or NICET IV Certification required
  • Minimum of eight years of experience with electrical construction including installation of low and medium voltage switchgear, fiber optics, communications, control systems, roadway lighting, power distribution, and all aspects of electrical construction
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a car
  • Minimum ten-hour OSHA Safety training certification, and/or other relevant certifications are desirable, or willing to become certified at the earliest convenience Salary range- $50-60/hour depending on experience and qualifications.
