About us:

Cellinfinity Bio is a revolutionary biotech based in New Haven, aimed to develop new generations of effective and safe cell therapy for cancer patients and beyond. Recently spun off from Yale University, Cellinfinity Bio leverages proprietary, next-level gene editing platforms for highly efficient engineering of therapeutic immune cells, combined with proprietary directed evolution assays, to develop the best cell therapy candidates that can overcome the hurdles in today's cancer treatment.

The Role:
Cellinfinity Bio is looking for a Scientist / Senior scientist level position with expertise in cellular immunology and CAR immune cell engineering. In this role, the candidate is expected to work with the Director of Cell Therapy R&D in a matrixed environment and perform key scientific experiments to develop Cellinfinity Bio's products and platforms. We are looking for candidates who enjoy working in a team and can leverage the growth opportunities that an early startup provides. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who is excited about cell therapy development and pioneering scientific efforts.

Responsibilities:
Design and perform immune cell engineering experiments, such as but not limited to: culture of human primary cells (T, NK, iPSC etc), CAR construction and testing, therapeutic cell engineering.
Design and perform in vitro assays, such as but not limited to: immune cell culture and cell line development, cell cytotoxicity assays, co-culture assays, ELISA/ELISPOT, flow cytometry and flow-based cell sorting.
Design and perform in vivo techniques, such as adoptive cell transfer, induction of murine tumor models, mice injections/handling, tissue isolation, and measurement of phenotypic readouts.
Develop new experimental protocols around therapeutic immune cells.
Carefully, diligently and timely analyze and organize data.
Regularly present experimental findings to the Director of Cell Therapy R&D, the project team, and the leadership team.
Collaborate with other biology team members.
Maintain extremely clean records of experimental schemes and organized data at different levels.
Help draft progress reports, summaries for the IND, patent applications and/or scientific publications.

Qualifications:
PhD in immunology, genetics, bioengineering, cell biology, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant postdoctoral or industry experience. Exceptional PhDs in the field of cell therapy, without postdoc experience will also be considered.
Strong capability of independently designing experiments and leading the execution of experiments.
Advanced knowledge and manipulation of immune cell-based assays, high-dimensional flow cytometry, flow-based cell sorting, and in vivo assessment.
Technical expertise cell engineering and mouse/human immunology.
Strong publication, patent and/or drug development record.
Excellent oral/written presentation skills.
Skills in vector design, gene editing, or NGS data analysis will be a big plus.
