Job DescriptionMary Wade is seeking at full-time Staff Development, RN Schedule: 40 hours per weekAt Mary Wade you will experience a high quality professional culture focused on resident needs. Stringent infection control guidelines are followed to ensure resident and employee safety.Everyone is held accountable to these standards.We have 94 beds, 3 shifts, every other weekend rotations and shift differentials. Additional training and support is always available.Our resident population is primarily seniors with varying levels of acuity.   • Must Have A Current CT RN License
  • Previous experience in a nursing home setting a plus
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Requirements:
    • Develops an innovative orientation program incorporating the facility's Mission and goals and facilitates the new employee orientation in coordination with Human
    • Develops and facilitates nursing staff orientation on the skilled units to ensure competency and ability to work independently prior to release from orientation.
    • Conducts and facilitates completion of annual competencies for existing nursing staff.
    • Develops and coordinates annual mandatory in-service for all facility employees.
    • Develops and presents or arranges for presentation on topics of interest or areas of need for continuing education of nursing staff, in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services.
    • Prepares and presents the Monthly Education Calendar.
    • Maintains accurate records of employee attendance at in-service education programs and continuing education programs.
    • Promotes and facilitates a climate that assures compliance with facility Mission and goals, State and Federal regulations.
    • Participates as an active member of the Nursing Leadership Team and acts as a Team Leader for Quality Improvement/Performance Improvement projects as assigned by the Director of Clinical Services.Why work at Mary Wade Home
