Sunovion Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Director, Health
Systems Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Liaison to
join our Field Medical team and cover the Northeast territory ( NY,
MA, NJ, CT, MD, DC, PA, DE, RI, NH, VT, ME).
The primary responsibilities of this critical field-based
liaison role include the development and execution of
territory-specific communication plans for delivering
evidence-based clinical and HEOR value propositions for Sunovion
products across the portfolio. The liaison is tasked with ensuring
the delivery of scientifically credible and consistent key value
messages to formulary and population health decisions makers (FDMs)
within health systems. The liaison will also act as a conduit
between the external health systems environment and HQ Medical and
HEOR. The responsibilities also include continuous evaluation and
communication of territory- and account-specific scientific
information needs and insights. Finally, the liaison will help
establish and maintain research collaborations with key external
stakeholders, as needed.
Effectively communicate the clinical and economic value of
Sunovion marketed and pipeline products to FDMs within
territory-specific health systems accounts.
Consistently collect and communicate actionable insights from
external stakeholders to inform development of Sunovion product
strategy, value propositions, and future research.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including HQ HEOR and
Field Medical colleagues, on Sunovion projects and initiatives.
Champion and support development of Field Medical resources to
demonstrate product or population-health value and to support
Partner with the HQ HEOR and act as their conduit to the
external health systems environment by identifying and
communicating FDM needs for evidence.
Provide input into the development and implementation of health
outcomes research and develop and cultivate research collaborations
with health systems and/or academia.
Attend select scientific meetings and professional conferences
to engage in scientific exchange with FDMs, to gather clinical and
HEOR insights, and to support HEOR scientific communication.
Assist in the training of Sunovion field-based teams, as
Develop strong credibility among health systems FDMs, based on
trust and compelling, transparent clinical and HEOR evidence.
- Complete administrative responsibilities, including monthly
expense reporting and field activity reporting.
Minimum Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
Doctorate-level training (PhD, PharmD, MD).
Specialty training or experience in Psychiatry or Neurology
Experience and expertise in health systems strongly
Record of accomplishment in HEOR and at least 5-7 years of
experience within a pharmaceutical or health care organization.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and plan effectively across
multiple company functions/departments.
Demonstrated ability to effectively present clinical and HEOR
data to FDMs.
Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment.
Highly motivated and capable of comprehending complex
scientific/HEOR content, which is then communicated in a clear,
Expertise in health outcomes research and interpretation of
Advanced presentation and computer skills.
Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently; take initiative and
complete tasks to deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
