Job Description:

Service consumer testing needs of Research and Development (including the skincare and makeup Innovation/Charter teams, BSR and Packaging) as it relates to technology development and/or validation as well as additional ad hoc requests. Assist manager in the design, execution and analysis of research projects and independently manage aspects of projects. Provide actionable insights to teams in order to direct development of technologies/charters.

Successfully complete the below responsibilities with guidance from manager, relating to all aspects of consumer product testing with full accountability. Responsibilities have direct impact on technology development/validation across Innovation teams. Actively display strong problem solving abilities, learning agility, and creativity as it relates to product testing methodologies/understanding research objective/cost/timing/etc.

  • Support manager in the management of all aspects of consumer product testing/exploratory research both domestically and internationally. Handle projects from start to finish with input from manager.
  • Responsible for assisting in the development of protocols and project screeners/questionnaires/discussion guides, overseeing vendor recruitment and fieldwork, inputting in analysis, helping to create written report/presentation that provide insights and recommendations.
  • When necessary, administer one-on-one interviews and/or diads/triads to obtain more in-depth understanding of consumer beliefs/opinions/attitudes/behaviors as it relates to the specific research objective.
  • Involved with communications/discussions relating to study research needs/setup/status/study results. Partner with key internal groups, including Clinical testing, R&D, Packaging, PD, and Legal to ensure research is focused and objectives are understood, met, and communicated.

Monitor project budget once study costs are negotiated by manager. Manage billing and processing of invoices. Discuss atypical budget circumstances with manager/director.

1 year of market research experience a plus. Cosmetic industry experience a plus.

Other necessary skills: strong technical and interpersonal skills, customer service oriented, team player, excellent written and oral skills, attention to detail, and computer proficient.

BS/BA in relevant field (i.e. Sensory Science, Psychology, Behavioral Science)

10% Travel
