Manager, Wire Authentication Services, Commercial Payment Operations - Richmond, VA / Melville, NY

As a People Manager within the Commercial Bank's Payment Operations organization, you will be responsible for the daily leadership and oversight of the Wire Authentication Services team. This team supports the wire exception handling process for all lines of business and the callback validation process, a manual fraud prevention strategy. You will focus on driving the achievement of individual, team and business metric goals. In addition, you will be responsible for proactive collaboration and partnership with key business stakeholders. In this role you will have the opportunity to develop strategies in a fast paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leadership of 25 total associates across our Melville and Richmond locations.

  • Works with partner groups within product management and customer servicing groups across commercial, small business and retail lines of business.

  • Analyzes and evaluates operational procedures, recommends and implements modifications to improve quality, increase efficiency and reduce exception volume.

  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment where priorities may shift immediately.

  • Recommends process improvements with the team and department and may represent product or process area on projects of a cross-functional/cross location scale.

  • Acts to ensure all service levels are met and exceeded.

  • Manages departments audit remediation efforts including establishing controls and securing approvals.

  • Assists operations in executing departments business continuity tasks during Disaster Recovery.

  • Compiles operations metrics for the Monthly Business Review.

  • Performs periodic self-audits to ensure compliance with internal and external procedures and regulatory requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience

  • At least 2 years of People Management experience

  • At least 1 year of experience in Banking Operations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of People Management experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in Banking Operations

  • At least 2 years of experience in Process Management

  • At least 1 year experience with LEAN

  • At least 1 year experience with Six Sigma management methodology
