Job Skills / Requirements

This is a seasonal position, Memorial Day through Labor Day 2021

FLSA Classification: Part-Time, Hourly - two available shifts: 8am-4pm & 4pm-8pm

The activities listed below are not all inclusive. However, they are indicative of the types of activities normally performed by the Pool Attendant

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Opening Responsibilities:

A. Arrive 15 minutes before pool opening

B. Unlocks pool gate

C. Check the color, clarity and chemistry of the pool water and record in log

D. Check water level to ensure proper operation of skimmers and pool filter

E. Hose down deck, check skimmer baskets and clean furniture and tables

F. Open Umbrellas

G. Prepare sign in sheets

H. Sit at attendant table so that both the entrance and pool can be observed

During Shift:

A. Ensure all pool users sign in and provide proper pool pass or pay proper fee

B. Enforce all pool rules

C. Clean and maintain pool deck and furniture, wipe and dry white pool tables daily with spray cleanser

D. Clean pool tiles, remove floating leaves and debris brush and vacuum pool as needed to ensure proper clarity and cleanliness,

E. Water all plants and flowers daily.

Closing Responsibilities:

A. Close Umbrellas

B. Clean and arrange pool furniture

C. Check skimmer baskets and pool chemistry and record in log

D. Empty garbage and bring to dumpster

E. Close and lock gate. Return key and log to front desk

II. RELATIONSHIPS

A. Reports to O, R&L Property Manager.

B. Maintains positive working relationships with all building residents, co-workers and vendors.

III. EMERGENCY

A. Knows emergency telephone number for police, fire department, ambulance and related first responders.

B. Follows all company emergency procedures.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
