Job Summary

This position is open to current PSEG employees only.

Create and guide analysts in the development of various forecasts; including Net Write Off, Days Sales Outstanding, AR>90 days, Bankruptcy and other ad hoc requests. Generate, analyze and create month end reports utilized in the collections process related to OSA, Tier 1 and Tier 2 metrics. Lead a team of internal and external parties to review and change collection strategies in order to achieve various metrics, optimize cash collected and reduce losses for LIPA. Provide governance and oversight for all IT related projects for collections and/or Revenue Operations including budget adherence, maintaining timelines, implementation and complete all User Acceptance Testing.

Job Responsibilities

Lead process on analyzing strategies, recommend appropriate actions. Facilitate process improvement strategies, by using six sigma strategies to streamline processes, implement technology to improve performance, and achieve OSA metrics

Provide governance and oversight to IT projects including CAS, SAP, and outside vendor solutions as they relate to Collections and/or Revenue Operations. Act as project manager on special projects as they relate to collections and/or Revenue Operations.

Ensure policies, process improvements and strategies are compliant with the tariff and with New York's Home Energy Fair Practices Act. Monitor and disseminate any regulatory changes as implemented by LIPA, NY State or Federal Regulatory bodies.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Business and 7+ years professional work experience.
  • In Lieu of a degree 15 years' experience within a utility customer services, collections, or billing and payment organization.
  • Must possess well developed interpersonal, leadership and time management skills planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to motivate the workforce and foster a team environment.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills; strong analytical, decision making and problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions.
  • Advanced computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint , Word and Tableau.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid US driver's license and a safe and satisfactory driving history.

Desired

  • MBA with 5 - 7 years' experience in customer operations
  • Results oriented
  • Candidate must foster an inclusive work environment and value all aspects of diversity.
  • Strong Knowledge of PSEG LI's Collections & Customer Service Processes.
  • Advanced Computer system training; including experience in Database management or Microsoft Access.
  • Knowledge of existing computer systems such as Mainframe Customer Account System and Utility Billing Systems and SAP.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
