OurInstrument Support Group (ISG)allows chemists to do hands-on work and interact directly with laboratory equipment operators; an ISG chemist can expect every day to be different. ISG specializes in servicing instrumentation such as IC, ICP, GC, GC/MS, HPLC, and SVOA/VOA samplers and concentrators. While the instrumentation is complex, our Instrument Support Group has an extensive training program for new employees, as well as ongoing training to ensure that our employees capabilities meet the ever-changing needs of our laboratories. Our ISG Specialists have multifaceted skill sets including: strong technical aptitude, great customer service, and troubleshooting/problem resolution techniques. The Instrument Support Group has been operating for eighteen years, achieving rapid and steady growth on an annual basis. This growth allows multiple advancement opportunities for our employees as we continue to expand our scope of services and geographical coverage.

OurInstrument Services Specialist is responsible for providing technical solutions and advanced level instrument support services to customers of ISG including but not limited to Pace Analyticals Environmental and Life Sciences laboratories, external clients, and co-workers of the Instrument Support Group. OurInstrument Services Specialistis responsible for providing our customers with a variety of support services associated with their analytical instrumentation. These services include routine maintenance, operational and performance testing, hardware and software troubleshooting, instrument repair, and personnel training.


  • Instrument preventivemaintenance,installation, repairs,&performance testing on IC, ICP, GC, GCMS, Purge and Trap concentrators and autosamplers and a variety of other lab instrumentation.
  • Instrument refurbishments
  • Application software installation and troubleshooting
  • Ensuring instruments are capable of meeting/exceeding EPA quality system requirements
  • On-site and remote customer support
  • Providing technical training on analytical systems
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Maintaining positive relationships with customers

  • BS degree in chemistry or related science
  • 3-5 years of experience working with IC, ICP, GC, or GC/MS instrumentation
  • Strong customer service skills
  • 3-4 years of experience working in an environmental wet chemistry or metals laboratory
  • 3-4 years of experience working with EPA methodologies
  • Able to travel up to 40 percent

Our ISG Specialists have multifaceted skill sets including: strong technical aptitude, customer service, and problem resolution techniques.
