Job Description:

Overview: This individual is responsible for client and system support, including maintenance and resolution of technological issues, as well as, completion of projects and tasks given by management.

Responsibilities: Support the operation of production CAD / PDM & PLM Systems & Applications for business-critical global product development & manufacturingProvide user support for technical issues as well as training & direction to the engineering community on best practices for CAD application, PDM data management software and other Engineering SystemsImplement global version upgrades, maintenance releases, and system configuration changes to keep CAD and PDM/PLM systems updated and globally aligned with technology functional requirementsDevelop & Maintain system documentation including, but not limited to System Architecture, Configuration, Support and Training documentsDevelop and provide on-going training for existing and system upgrades and future system implementations using various methods which include onsite and or online instructional settingsWork with software vendors, value added reseller (VAR) & consultants to fix systemic issuesParticipate in the evaluation of new Engineering software packagesProvide support to Engineering desktops, workstations, laptops, peripherals, and printers including additional hardwareStay current on latest technologies that are related to Desktop Technology and actively seek educational experience to better ones knowledge base and productivity24x7 on-call availability is required with immediate response to incidents as they ariseAny and all responsibilities deemed necessary by management

Qualifications: EducationBS Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalentExperience in Computer Science and/or engineering field is preferred Experience5 years experience in Computer Science and engineering field is preferred. General Knowledge of engineering design and product lifecycle management processes, applications and systems and how those interfaces with other organizational processes and systemsBasic engineering system administration experience (troubleshooting software, OS, basic network connection issues, configuration modifications, etc.)Knowledge of administration and support of SolidWorks CAD & PDM ProfessionalExperience in Engineering systems support role, Provide resolution to technical support issues in a professional and timely mannerService-oriented with strong customer service, analytical problem solving and technical troubleshooting skillsOracle Engineering Change Management system experience a plusFamiliarity with other engineering systems a plusExperience working with software vendors, value added reseller (VAR) & consultants on support issues and project workExperienced developing and providing on-training programs for usersSkillsExpert knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Office, Excel, Power Point) and MS VisioMust have good verbal and written communication & presentation skills and be comfortable communicating to all levels in in technical and nontechnical termsThe ability to prioritize, respond to and follow through on multiple customer support requests in a dynamic work environmentThe ability to work independently and on a team is requiredTravel10% overall; may be significantly higher during the duration of a projectLeviton is an EEO/AA employer.
