SCHEDULE: Full-time

Responsible forfinancial oversight of the Federal Health Products and Services (FHPS),formerly known as the Federal Employee Program, line of business (whichencompasses $11 Billion of annual revenue and 1.6 million members). Worksclosely with all levels of the regional and corporate accounting, cost andbudget, and reporting and analysis areas to insure the integrity of thefinancial results of the business unit.

Primary duties mayinclude, but are not limited to:

Oversees financial reporting process including coordination with all regions and corporate office.

Reviews, analyzes, reports, and presents financial results.

Provides decision support for business unit President and senior management teams operational and business goals.

Oversees overall budget, forecast, and cost allocation processes, including the program budgeting and expense reimbursement process with the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association’s FEP Director’s Office.

Oversees FHPS contract accounting and compliance, which includes cash management and accounts reconciliation and reporting to the BCBSA and Office of Personnel Management.

Collaborates across Federal Government Services (FGS) and Anthem to align strategy and results.

Provides visible sponsorship and guidance for major change initiatives.

Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of the FHPS finance team, which includes 6 direct reports and 21 total associates.

Qualifications

Requires a BS/BA inaccounting or finance; 8-10 years experience in accounting, financial reporting,business analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic and tactical planningwithin a health insurance/managed care environment; prior managementexperience; or any combination of education and experience, which would providean equivalent background. MBA, CPA, CMA, FSA, and/or CFA preferred.
