Job Description:

As an Overnight Operations Manager at Interstate Waste Services, you will lead and manage nightly operations in our waste management division, ensuring efficient and compliant waste processing and disposal. This role is pivotal in maintaining the excellence and integrity of our services during the overnight shifts, aligning with environmental policies and company goals amid the dynamic and challenging landscape of non-hazardous waste management. The successful candidate will be a proactive leader with a deep commitment to environmental stewardship and operational efficiency. Oversee and manage all night-time waste management operations including collection, transfer, recycling, and disposal. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations pertaining to waste treatment and disposal. Manage and coordinate the activities of night staff to ensure safe and efficient operations. Monitor operations and address any issues that may arise during the shift, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Maintain communication with various department heads to ensure alignment with the company's operational standards and environmental objectives. Prepare and review reports on night operations, suggesting improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Ensure all equipment used during the shift is handled correctly and is in good working order. Proficiency in waste management or environmental management systems. Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance 401k Certified Waste Manager (CWM) preferred. OSHA Safety Training certification.
