Interstate Waste Services, a leader in non-hazardous waste management in the U.S. Northeast region, is currently seeking an experienced Overnight Operations Manager. This position is pivotal in ensuring the seamless running of all nighttime operations including waste collection, transfer, and recycling processes. The successful candidate will oversee night shift personnel, manage site activities and ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. This role is ideal for a proactive leader with a strong commitment to environmental management and operational excellence. Oversee all night shift activities ensuring adherence to schedules and operational standards. Manage and supervise night staff, ensuring a safe work environment and promoting team spirit. Coordinate with daytime management to ensure smooth transitions between shifts. Monitor and optimize operational processes and equipment usage for maximum efficiency. Ensure compliance with all environmental laws and regulations. Prepare and deliver detailed reports on night shift operations to upper management. Handle emergencies and unforeseen issues effectively. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure. Proficient in using computer applications and management software. Knowledge of waste management practices and standards. Medical Insurance 401k Certified Waste Manager (CWM) preferable. OSHA Safety Certification.
