Job Description:
Interstate Waste Services, a leader in waste management, seeks a
Manager of Hauling Operations to oversee daily logistics in our
Northeast U.S. facilities. The role entails managing all aspects of
waste collection and transport operations, ensuring efficient
service delivery that complies with all environmental and safety
regulations. As a Manager of Hauling Operations, you will play a
pivotal role in optimizing route efficiencies, supervising a team
of drivers and logistics personnel, and contributing to the
continuous improvement of our operational processes. Oversee daily
operations of fleet management, including routing and scheduling to
maximize efficiency and fuel economy. Ensure compliance with local,
state, and federal environmental and traffic regulations. Conduct
safety audits, manage incident reports, and maintain adherence to
safety protocols. Lead, train, and develop a team of drivers,
mechanics, and administrative staff. Manage operational budget,
oversee maintenance of vehicles and equipment, and control costs
without compromising service quality. Work closely with customer
service and sales teams to ensure client satisfaction and resolve
any issues related to hauling services. Implement strategic
initiatives that enhance productivity and service standards,
incorporating innovative technologies and methods. Strong
leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational
skills with the ability to multitask. Proven ability to handle
crisis situations effectively. Expertise in logistics management
software and GPS systems. In-depth understanding of compliance and
safety protocols in transportation and waste management. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k CDL
(Commercial Driver’s License) preferred. Certified in Waste
Management or any relevant industry certification.
