As we grow our team, we are seeking an Attorney with experience in construction and design professional litigation. In Return, We Offer: - Competitive Compensation Contingent On Experience - Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability Insurance - 401(k) - Generous Paid Time Off Package Who You Are: - 3 years of experience representing clients in design professional and/or construction litigation. - Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. - Must be admitted to practice law - Experience with written discovery and motion practice. - Capable of independent work. - Work in an organized and efficient manner. - Superior research and writing skills. - Ability to multi-task. - Ability to analyze complex matters. What You Will Be Doing? - Assist partners with an active litigation caseload, from inception to trial. - Interface with clients and insurance professionals. - Assist with preparing witnesses for deposition and trial. - Retain and work with expert witnesses. - Prepare and respond to discovery responses and pleadings. - Research legal issues and prepare memoranda. - Draft motions and oppositions and argue same at hearings. - Assist with negotiating settlements and at mediation. - Assist with evaluating liability and damages issues and prepare exposure evaluations. - Trial preparation and support. - Maintain accurate and timely time records. - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
