Job Description:
We are searching for a highly analytical applicant who is
capable of working full-time and possesses strong negotiation and
organizational abilities to join our growing firm as an estate
planning attorney. You will create wills, trusts, and powers of
attorney for our clients and their families and educate them on
matters of insurance and powers of attorney. To guarantee that an
estate is managed in accordance with the estate owner's intentions,
this role demands a high degree of responsibility. We are searching
for an applicant with substantial experience in estate planning.

Responsibilities:
Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the
situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan
of action
Confer with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move
through the civil litigation process
Advise clients regarding retirement plans, charitable giving, and
insurance options
Communicate with clients about plans for dispersing their
assets
Create wills, trusts, and powers of attorney for your clients
Keep client files properly organized and up to date
Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as
needed
--- Prepare probate and estate administration petitions and related
filings
--- Correspond with the Surrogate's Court to obtain Letters of
Testamentary and Letters of Administration and make court
appearances, as necessary
--- Assist Fiduciaries with marshaling assets, determining
immediate cash needs, determining estate debts and liabilities, and
preparing an initial plan of distribution
--- Guiding and Advising Fiduciary through Ongoing Administration
of the Estate and/or Trust
--- Prepare Accountings, Inventories, and Fiduciaries Reports
--- Draft Waivers and Receipts and Releases
--- Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs,
analyzing the situation, then strategizing and deciding on a proper
course of action
--- Delegate to and supervise the work of paralegals and legal
assistants
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are
required
Excellent communication skills, especially in highly stressful and
emotional situations
--- A least 3 years of working in a law firm on estate and trust
administration and probate law is necessary
--- Experience using Fiduciary Accounting Software is also a
plus
