possible. As a Lead Software Engineer - Java/AWS at JPMorgan Chase
within Commercial & Investment Bank - Security Services, you will
be an integral part of an agile team that enhances, builds, and
delivers trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure,
stable, and scalable way. You will conduct critical technology
solutions across multiple technical areas, supporting the firm’s
business objectives. Job Responsibilities Execute creative software
solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting,
thinking beyond routine approaches to build solutions or break down
technical problems. Develop secure, high-quality production code;
review and debug code written by others. Set up and manage Proofs
of Concept (POCs) to evaluate new technologies and methodologies,
ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
Drive adoption of best practices in software development and AI
integration, maintaining high standards of quality, security, and
efficiency. Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate
remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability of
software applications and systems. Lead technical designs and
collaborate with geographically distributed analysts and developers
responsible for the program’s software solutions engineering
function. Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure
solutions meet business needs. Contribute to a team culture of
diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect. Required
Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Formal training or
certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied
experience. Hands-on experience in system design, application
development, testing, and operational stability. Proficient in
coding in one or more object-oriented languages, including Java 17
with Spring Boot. Advanced understanding of agile methodologies
such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security. Experience
building enterprise applications with high availability and
performance using Java, Spring, Kafka, EKS, Distributed Cache.
Strong hands-on experience designing and building solutions on AWS,
including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, ELB, ECS, EKS. Exposure
to building AI/ML driven applications to drive business goals.
Track record of continuous learning mindset Preferred
Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Keen interest in staying
ahead of modern development trends and experimenting with emerging
technologies such as AI and Machine Learning. In-Depth knowledge of
the financial services industry and their IT systems Hands-on
experience with Microservices, Data usage patterns, and
Event-Driven Architecture (EDA). Knowledge of cloud architecture;
ability to capture and share best-practice knowledge across teams.
Ability to back decisions with research and articulate several
options with pros and cons.
