Job Description:
**Overview**Utilizes technical expertise to architect, provide
hands-on development, implement and support web application
projects. Acts as a liaison and technical advisor between the
Business Community, and Software Engineering and Business Process
Reengineering teams. Mentors other Software Engineers and provides
project mentoring to ensure web application projects and underlying
technical architecture are scalable to support the next X years
with minimal re-work.**Responsibilities**- Participate in
functional design discussions and requirement clarification with
the business community and business process re-engineering team.-
Consults with internal customers on complex projects and utilizes
information to make system improvements.- Analyze the needs of
large software development projects and break them down into
smaller manageable parts with specific milestone dates.- Reviews,
analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding,
testing, debugging, and documenting programs.- Investigates and
resolves application functionality related issues.- Help resolve
technical problems as and when they arise.- Contribute to
production support of existing systems.- Researches upcoming trends
and makes recommendations for internal technology improvements.-
Provides guidance and training to less experienced programmers in
order to improve productivity- Participates/Leads in code
review/solution design sessions.- Escalates issue and project
progress to Senior Management.- Prioritizes multiple and
conflicting priorities with the assistance of the group manager.-
Carry out testing procedures to ensure systems are running
smoothly.- Advise on scalable server, data communication flow and
database architecture.- Choose suitable software, hardware and
suggest best integration methods.**Qualifications**This position
requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Information
Technology, plus 5-7 years of related experience.*A note on degree
requirements for this title: the term "engineering discipline"
refers primarily to a degree in Mechanical, Software or Electrical
Engineering, with additional consideration given to candidates who
have degrees in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics,
Biology or Chemistry if they have attended recognized engineering
schools or otherwise demonstrate sufficient knowledge of
engineering skills.- Required Skills: Visual Basic.NET; ASP.Net,
Javascript, jQuery, VBscript, HTML, XML, SQL.- Hands on experience
in software development and system administration.- Proven
experience delivering successful strategic IT solutions.- Excellent
problem-solving skills.- Advanced knowledge of database design and
creation of stored procedures in both Oracle and SQL.- Beneficial
Skills: C#, Microsoft Office Systems, MS Server 2008 and IIS,
Microsoft SQL Server, AJAX, SharePoint Designer, InfoPath Oracle,
