Information Technology Division is seeking a Senior IT Project
Manager (Sr Specialist, Project Mgmt), focused primarily on B2C and
B2B marketing and customer engagement applications development
projects. This position is responsible for managing and monitoring
the day to day activities of the project team, which is comprised
of analysts, architects, subject matter experts, developers and
Quality Assurance technicians, with most technical roles provided
by external vendors. Projects are of varying sizes and
complexities. This position monitors day to day project status and
reports to Canon IT management. This position will also mentor
junior project Managers and work with minimal direction from IT
Management.This position is full time and offers a hybrid work
schedule requiring you to be in the office Monday and Wednesday and
an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a
specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on
other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting
requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.
Responsibilities- Experience with delivery of complex projects in
time and within budget- Responsible for simultaneously working on
multiple projects and delivering them successfully- Works
independently on projects with internal and external
customers/vendors and report progress regularly to senior
management- Develops and tracks project plans and milestones,
issues and risks, actual versus planned schedule, and quality
metrics- Prepares and maintains detailed project plans, including
activities, tasks, assignments, milestones and estimates. Controls
project scope and enforces strong project change management
process- Owns project issue resolution and risk management-
Provides project updates on a consistent basis to various
stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, progress, and overall
project health- Coordinates and tracks the project activities of
the project team, including implementation vendors, architects,
business analysts, Canon technical staff, and business
stakeholders- Ensures consistent application across projects of
Canon's system development life-cycle process, including quality
processes and turnover to production- Responsible for project
initiation activities, including definition of project scope &
objectives, formation of project teams, development of high level
requirements and solution architecture- Conducts project post
implementation reviews to evaluate whether project objectives were
met, to determine how effectively the project was run, and to
identify areas for future improvement- Responsible for project
planning and project portfolio management- IT Focus may be
applicable: Manages cross enterprise IT application development
projects of varying size and complexity- Should be able to mentor
junior Project Managers Possesses specialized knowledge or skills
in a particular functional area- A fully qualified, seasoned
professional with a full understanding of the job role who works on
more complicated issues facing the department- Receives general
instruction from manager on new assignments but little to no
direction in day-to-day work QualificationsPlease note: We comply

degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus
5 years of related experience- Experience with Project Management
methodologies, tools and techniques (SDLC and
Agile/Scrum/Waterfall)- Excellent Communication Skills- IT Focus
may be applicable: 5-8 years of relevant IT or business work
experience- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer
Science, Business Administration or related field- PMP
Certification (Preferred)The company will not pursue or support
