Job DescriptionKEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, develop, modify, debug and implement short- and long-term solutions to IT needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems, and applications infrastructure for use throughout the Company. Analyze existing programs or formulate logic for new systems, devise logic procedures, prepare flowcharting, perform coding and test/debug programs. Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Develop system implementation plans. Prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation. Help prepare test plans with QA. Maintain Project Life Cycle (PLC) standards. Recommend changes in development, maintenance, and system standards. Train users in the implementation of the system. KNOWLEDGE:Senior-level professional role. Evaluation, originality, or ingenuity required. Know and apply the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a particular field. Resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways. Assignments can be broad. May serve as a resource to others to resolve complex problems and issues. May take on project lead role as required. This job is a fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position. JOB COMPLEXITY:Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Network with senior internal and external personnel inside/outside their area of expertise. SUPERVISION: Receive little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. Assignments are broad. QualificationsWORK EXPERIENCE:Typically, 6 to 8 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience. PREFERRED EDUCATION:Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in Information Technology or related technical discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus. Typically hold 1 or more industry certifications.GENERAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: Wide range of professional skills with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures. Use skills to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Able to contribute to moderately complex aspects of a project. Collaborative skills and the ability to work independently. Work independently; receives minimal guidance Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may direct the work of other staff members Strong competence with various tools, procedures, programming languages. Excellent planning/ organizational skills and techniques. Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills. Excellent decision-making skills. Excellent negotiating skills. Excellent writing and communication skills. Excellent conflict resolution skills. Strong financial skills. SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Technical proficiency in relevant languages and development tools. Knowledge of RPG, RPG-ILE, CL, SQL, AS/400 environments, DDM, DB2 Database, XML, FTP, SFTP. Ability to write program specifications and code from program specifications. May require knowledge of JDE ERP. Experience in Warehouse Management Systems and peripheral system Experience in working with Wholesale or Retail distribution business systems Experience in DSCSA (Drug Supply Chain Security Act) projects for Manufacturer and Wholesaler Experience and knowledge on DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) regulations for control drug distribution Experience in label printing tools and RF application Experience in the change management process, tools like Aldon or turnover a plus TRAVEL/ PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands are required.
