CCC is currently seeking a talented Linux System Administrator to support production and non-production systems. The Linux System Administrator will participate in system administration activities in order to support customer facing products, as well as, in house operations.This role works with the Systems Operation team to build and manage AWS infrastructure programmatically, using Terraform, to migrate the company's customer facing applications to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud. It provides the opportunity to work with renowned organizations.What you will be doing:The Linux System Administrator will primarily be responsible for administration of CCC's online environment including ssystems, applications, configurations, and security. The person will be on call during non-business hours on a rotational basis as well during schedule releases (activities).You will use srong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on technical, computer related subject matter including systems administration policies and procedures, and hardware/software product and performance evaluations. You have the ability to balance the demands of multiple constituencies and set appropriate expectations as well as strong organizational qualities in all aspects of work.Role Responsibilities:

• You will administer Copyright Clearance Center's Online environments including systems, applications, configurations and security.
• You are responsible for infrastructure builds and retirements, user account management, software deployments, implementations, software patching and upgrades, system and application monitoring, performance analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Requires on-call monitoring during non-business hours on a rotational basis and during scheduled releases (activities).
  • A willingness to participate, as part of a team, in all levels of administration from the mundane to the sophisticated.Skills/Knowledge:Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a hands-on capacity with the following:Linux (preferably RHEL/CentOS/Amazon Linux) server operating systems, specifically senior systems administrator skill level. Including:
    • Performance monitoring and troubleshooting
    • Filesystem management with Logical Volume Manager
    • Package management via Yum
    • Bash shell scripting
    • Boot configurations
    • SSH
    • User account management
    • Network configuration
      • Virtualization Technologies including AWS Cloud (Terraform, AWS Console, EC2 instance management, security groups, IAM) and VMware / vCenter administration.
      • Internet technologies including HTTP, SSL, LDAP, SMTP, and DNS
      • Willingness to participate, as part of a team, in all levels of administration, from the mundane to the sophisticated.
      • Experience supporting web applications and services: Java JVM, Apache httpd, NGINX, and Apache Tomcat
      • Systems and web application monitoring systems such as Zabbix, PRTG, and Pingdom.
      • Linux and Web Application security issues and defenses which are common in a networked environment.
      • Backup and recovery administration and strategy.
      • Software build and deployment tools including: Chef, Jenkins, Github, and Artifactory.Desirable Requirements:
        • Industry certifications for Linux, UNIX, Amazon or Microsoft.
        • Experience with Windows Server OS, Active Directory, Elasticsearch, Python, AWS CLI, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
        • Working knowledge of, and experience with, network router, switch, firewall, and load balancing configuration and administration.
