Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm at our East Hampton, NY office.PURPOSE/SCOPE OF POSITIONManage all aspects of payroll administration and the accounts payable process, including cash receipts and related reconciliations.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESPayrollProcess biweekly payroll; obtain and process time sheets and review biweekly activity in Stratus Time (Departments and Jobs)Process payroll changes per Personnel Action Form and benefits and all other payroll-related administrationPost payroll journal to FundEZ general ledgerReconcile payroll and FICA accounts monthlyMaintain Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance spreadsheet; address and resolve issues with benefit deductions to benefit invoicesReview Stratus Time data; follow up with staff on inconsistencies and ensure time and attendance data integrityProcess mile reimbursements through Paychex and create related general ledger entriesEnsure proper deductions for 403b plan and make payments to Mutual of America for staff contribution and create related general ledger entriesAudit Payroll reports for accuracy to avoid discrepanciesEmployee BenefitsManage and reconcile Clarity Card accounts and billing; post related activity to the general ledgerAccounts PayableProcess Accounts Payable and Credit card transactionsCreate monthly general ledger entries for prepaid expenses as paid throughout the yearInput approved invoices, allocate cost centers, manage the aging process, schedule, prepare and cut checks, reconcile vendor statements, post invoices, allocate cost, and investigate discrepanciesFinance OperationsInitiate all Finance related Purchase Orders through Right SignatureOtherAssist in preparation for annual audits and create and maintain schedules in formula-based Excel spreadsheetsReconcile fundraising income and expensesQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field plus one year of experience in payroll management or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the duties of the position. Previous nonprofit experience with Paychex and FundEZ preferred.Required capabilities:Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and formula-based Excel SpreadsheetsExcellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize standard workloadAttention to detail and a high level of accuracy are required for this positionOther requirements:Must have a valid New York State Driver's License (Required)Visit our website at Apply online at TheRetreat/Careers
