Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system renowned for medical education, research, and sophisticated patient care, is looking for a dedicated and professional Clinical Nurse II for our Vascular Surgery C5 Department. Responsible for ensuring high standards of specialized nursing care for postoperative patients undergoing vascular surgeries, the successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes through innovative nursing practices. This role demands a strong commitment to patient care, the ability to perform in fast-paced environments, and a deep understanding of vascular health challenges. Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in the vascular surgery unit. Assist in surgical procedures and offer postoperative care and monitoring. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, surgeons, and other medical staff to develop care plans. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, surgical recovery, and lifestyle adjustments post-surgery. Maintain detailed patient records and participate in health improvement programs. Adhere to hospital protocols and nursing standards while administering treatments. Proficiency in vascular patient management Advanced skills in patient assessment and critical thinking Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work in high-stress environments Adept at using medical software and patient management systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
