We are seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants for a locum tenens assignment in New York. This 10-day opportunity begins Jan 2, 2026, and offers a mix of 12-hour day and night shifts covering an emergency room extension. Flexibility to rotate between day and night shifts is required. Job Details Location: New York Start Date: Jan 2, 2026 LOA: 10 days Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant Schedule: Two positions for 7am-7pm, one position for 7pm-7am; 12-hour shifts; providers may be reassigned between day and night shifts as needed Responsibilities and Duties Provide acute care coverage for an emergency room extension Manage patients with medical-surgical needs, including those requiring drips such as heparin and levophed (titrated for end-of-life care) Care for patients with tracheostomies, stable ventilators, and trach collars Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure continuity of care Adapt to changing shift assignments and patient care needs Additional Information Active New York Physician Assistant license required Board certification in Emergency Medicine required MedSurg experience strongly preferred Flexibility in scheduling is non-negotiable Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
