Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details Location: New Haven, CT 06510 (Connecticut nursing jobs) Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center Unit: General Medicine/Renal (EP 7.5) Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract Start Date: December 12, 2025 End Date: March 13, 2026 Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (07:00 - 19:00) Total Hours: 36 hours/week (guaranteed) Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Orientation: 16 hours Charting System: Epic EMR Patient Ratios: 1:5 days, 1:6 nights Parking: On-site parking available ($125/month) Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880-$2020 Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (1.5 years accepted with Level I Trauma or travel nurse experience) Active Registered Nurse license (CT RN license required; pending accepted) BLS certification (American Heart Association) required ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred Epic charting experience preferred Proficient in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, rapid response/code team activation, oxygen protocol management, and peripheral line care Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs (may float to Emergency Department for boarders) Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) One professional reference required Not accepting local candidates (must reside more than 75 miles from facility) Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced Med/Surg Telemetry unit Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response/code situations Implement isolation precautions and non-invasive airway management Administer oxygen therapy and manage oxygen tanks Care for patients with renal disease and various medical conditions Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, and Pharmacy Utilize lift equipment and adhere to safety protocols Float to other nursing units as needed to support patient care Take the next step in your nursing career with this rewarding travel RN job in Connecticut.
