Details Location: New Haven, Connecticut 06510 Assignment Length:
13 weeks (Start: 12/12/2025 – End: 3/13/2026) Shift: 4x12-hour day
shifts (07:00 – 19:00), every other weekend required Hours per
Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1880 - $2020 Healthcare Setting:
Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center Unit: Medical Surgical
Oncology (Smilow East) Guaranteed Hours: Yes Charting System: Epic
Scrub Color: Royal Blue Parking: On-site, $125/month Registered
Nurse Qualifications Active Connecticut RN license (pending license
accepted; must be active before start date) Minimum 2 years of
recent Oncology Registered Nurse experience (1.5 years accepted
with Level I Trauma or travel nurse experience) BLS certification
required Proficiency with Epic charting system Clinical experience
in inpatient oncology, telemetry oncology, central line blood
draws, PCA pump management, and port care Ability to float to
similar clinical units as needed Flu vaccine required (no
exemptions) One professional reference required Oncology RN
Responsibilities Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care
to adult oncology patients in an acute care hospital setting Manage
patient ratios averaging 1:4-5 Access and manage ports, perform
central line blood draws, and administer chemotherapy as
appropriate Monitor and manage PCA pumps and telemetry for oncology
patients Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and
social services Participate in rapid response and support services
as needed Float to similar units within scope to meet facility
needs Provide patient and family education regarding oncology
