Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R) Job Description

We are seeking an LCSW-R to help serve our physician practice in our behavioral health services. Patient visits are handled in person and through telemedicine. The LCSW-R would be responsible for assessing patients and gathering relevant information about their cases, providing crisis intervention, and contacting and making referrals to other agencies and services.

The key to succeeding in this role is the ability to stay calm and empathize with patients when they are upset. You should also be willing to be part of a team to help the community of patients in our practice.

LCSW-R Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting patients in receiving services by telephone and in person through talk therapy.
• Getting patients involved in beneficial activities.
• Assessing patients and gathering relevant information.
• Offering information and supporting patients and their families.
• Contacting and making referrals to other agencies and services.
• Maintaining accurate records in our EHR.
• Participating in training, supervision, and meetings.
• Provide crisis intervention. LCSW-R Requirements:
  • LCSW-R required.
  • Experience working with patients that are affected by mental health issues including substance abuse.
  • Ability to stay calm and empathize with patients when they are upset.
  • Able to develop a treatment plan.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention.
