With over ten providers in the practice, Peconic Pediatrics in Riverhead, NY is home to caring, knowledgeable healthcare providers that are dedicated to helping children be as happy and healthy as possible.Peconic Pediatrics is looking for a dynamic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team! Our Core Values are what makes our Culture: ---Respect---Integrity---Compassion---Humility---Empathy---Staff---GROWTH!Position Responsibilities:Assesses the health status of patients/families by means of a comprehensive health history and physical examinationInitiates selected therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, consultations and laboratory examinationsPrescribes/alters medication regimens, interprets finding and alters plan-of-care according to collaborative practice agreement and protocols in designated specialtyProvides teaching and counseling in the areas of health promotion, maintenance, disease prevention, and management of acute/chronic illnessesDocuments findings and plan-of-care in patient's medical recordProvides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management planPerforms a patient record review with the collaborating physician in a timely fashionAdvocates for patients/families and supports patients' rightsActs as a resource and leader to staffPerforms other related duties as assignedPosition Requirements:Master of Science Degree from and accredited Nursing Program (MSN)NYS Registered Nurse LicenseNYS Nurse Practitioner LicenseBoard Certification/Board Eligible in Advanced Nursing (ANA, ANCC, AANP, PNCB)ORBachelor's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program (PA)NYS Physician Assistant LicenseBoard Certified Physician Assistant (NCPAA)All Candidates must have:Current DEA RegistrationPediatric Medical Office or Family Medicine experience preferredBLS, ACLS, PALS a plusExperience with EMR systems required; Athena Practice preferredHigh level of professionalism when performing all dutiesExcellent communication, multi-tasking, customer service, time management, and organization skillsAbility to work in a team environmentMust possess attention to detail and quality focus.Allied Physicians Group and Adjuvant.Health requires all new hires to disclose their COVID-19 vaccination status upon offer of employment.
