Full-time Microbiology Technologist needed at a fantastic Laboratory on Long Island, NY!(Reference Code: KAM) This is a night shift position. Job Summary: Currently seeking a Medical Technologists to work in our Microbiology department. They will be responsible for performing moderate and high complexity testing. They will analyze, review, and report test results and quality control results and takes remedial action when indicated. The qualified applicant will ensure specimen integrity by adhering to the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing as well as adhere to departmental policies and procedures to include departmental programs, quality control, quality assurance, and safety. The qualified candidate will perform routine bacteriology, mycology, parisitology, and varied esoteric testing. Qualifications:*BS Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science*NYS Department of Education License as a Medical Technologist*Certified in the area of Clinical Laboratory Science by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)*Previous experience as a technologist in Microbiology Offering competitive compensation and complete benefits.For more information, please submit your resume for review!
