Corporate Office located in Melville, Long Island, is currently
seeking a Government Bids Specialist to join our Government
Operations Team. The person in this role is responsible for
responding to request for bids/proposals and administering federal
government contracts and Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA's). A
background in the federal government bids process and contracts
administration is highly recommended for this position.This
position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring
you to be in the office Monday and Wednesday and an option to work
from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business
need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Note
that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change
from time to time based on business needs. Responsibilities-
Responsible for all bid activities including but not limited to
review, distill, and identify bid requirements and concerns;
develop bid strategies, formulate comprehensive and quality
proposals/quotes; and track bid activities and maintain bid log.
Act as the focal point of contact for proposal development and
seeking clarifications from customers.- Act as the contract liaison
between Canon and Government, including participation in
pre-award/post award discussions, contract
negotiations/modifications and cure notices, if applicable.
Contract maintenance includes product refreshes, renewals and
up-to-date marketing information.- Administer and coordinate
activities involving the acceptance, monitoring and performance of
Federal government contracts. QualificationsPlease note: We comply
with all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations,
orders and mandates, including those we may be required to follow
as a federal government contractor/subcontractor.- Bachelor's
degree, or equivalent experience, required.- Minimum three years'
of work experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR),
Federal audits and compliance, required.- Experience with managing
a GSA Federal Schedule (preferred).- Must demonstrate strong
proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Excel, Word, & Outlook programs. -
Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Functions
effectively as part of a team. - Incumbent must demonstrate
superior time management, organizational and interpersonal skills,-
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. -
Possesses strong decision making/problem solving skills.The Company
