Procurement Department in Melville, NY is seeking a Procurement
Accounts Payable Manager (Manager, Procurement). The Procurement
Accounts Payable Manager will provide leadership in cross
functional team projects for process improvements. Create and
implement KPI's. Continually develop expertise to support growth
for new projects. Lead the procurement group in all phases of
invoice processing and purchasing card program. Develops,
implements, and maintains policies to streamline procedures, and
implement solutions. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to
ensure the efficient operation of the function. Regularly provide
feedback on departmental process/performance, program delivery and
key areas for improvement.This position is full time and offers a
hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Monday and
Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week
(unless a specific business need arises requiring in office
attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and office
reporting requirements may change from time to time based on
business needs. ResponsibilitiesManage the Purchase Order invoice
processing team and ensure- Invoices received are correct and
accounted for- Invoices are processed in line with payment terms
and where applicable expedite processing to leverage discounts-
Provide payment support to ensure that fast and efficient payments
are made; troubleshoot any issues- Analyze and remediate potential
and actual blockages to workflow to ensure smooth transactional and
operational processes- Define metrics and reporting processes,
track and analyze statistics, identify trends and make
recommendations for program enhancementsManage the Corporate
Purchasing Card program for Canon Americas- Administer control
activities for card spending limits, single transaction limits and
MCC restrictions- Oversee internal control compliance with approval
requirements- Monitor processes for employee change notifications
for new and terminated employees and card account updates, as
required- Define metrics and reporting processes, track and analyze
P-Card program statistics, identify trends and make recommendations
for program enhancements- Monitor and audit transactions on a
Quarterly basis to ensure proper use of the p-card according to
policy- Complete a program risk assessment on a regular basis-
Participate in industry activities, such as P-Card conferences and
NAPCP membership- Oversee and initiate timely processing of monthly
transactions- Handle security issues, such as fraud, compromised
accounts and lost/stolen accounts, by working with the cardholder
and the P-Card provide- Create and deliver cardholder training
programsBudget Management- Create annual departmental budget-
Analyze on a monthly basis financial information to ensure all
operations are within budget- Present annual budgets to Senior
Director- Review budget requests for approval- Forecast future
budget needs- Identify variances between actual and budgeted
financial results at the end of each reporting period
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent
experience required, plus 7 years of related experience and
management of typically two or more regular full-time employees
(one of whom must be exempt)- Knowledge of Oracle a plus- Knowledge
of MS Office- Accounts Payable experience- Invoice Processing
experience- Purchasing Card Program experience a plusThe company
