**Executive Director, Quality Assurance -
Microbiology/Analytical and Sanitation** **Brand:** Este Lauder
Companies **Description** The primary purpose of this role is to
provide global leadership to the SC organization to drive
consistent procedures, policies, training and process improvements
for Sanitization, Microbiology and Analytical functionality. The
role will work across all manufacturing sites, support TPM as
appropriate and liaise with Vice-President - Product
Preservation/Microbiology. The role will be responsible for
developing/improving systems to ensure consistent testing, process
controls and continuous improvement areas in the plants relative to
sanitation, micro and analytical. This function includes conducting
gap analysis and advising manufacturing and production areas in
developing quality systems that further ensures the quality of our
products. When contamination issues arise either internally or
externally (supplier) advise those different facilities on how to
remedy the present situation and make changes to ensure that the
same issues do not arise in the future. This role with liaison with
consultants and third party to identify process/method/system
improvement opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness
in the labs and plant floor. Develop/maintain a consistent set of
Global Sanitation, Micro and Analytical policies/procedures for the
manufacturing sites, ensure training is conducted and competency
maintained. Leads laboratory managers in all NA and EMEA
manufacturing sites in identifying, prioritizing, and evaluating
work on Micro and Analytical technical requirements. Responsible
for developing and maintaining a global community of practice for
the areas of focus. (40%) Lead the interaction with Quality
Assurance, Manufacturing, R&D, Analytical and Product
preservation departments in the area of Contamination Control,
which involves Microbiology, QA, and GMP's. (20%) Set up and
maintain the process and cleaning validation and controls linked to
Sanitation, Micro and Analytical to insure compliance with company
policy/procedures and adherence to regulatory requirements. (20%)
Support QA and GSR in Supplier approval/qualification as
appropriate and provide support to troubleshooting relative to
incoming materials including components, raw materials, WIP's and
finished goods. Consults with external TP manufacturers, vendors,
and suppliers on technical issues as needed (15%) Represent EL as
appropriate in industry/regulatory negotiations with other
companies and international regulatory bodies in those issues
related to microbiology, GMP's, and sanitation. Is senior level
liaison for regulatory agencies (domestic and international) on
matters of Global Laboratory policies and procedures. (5%)
**Qualifications** Bachelor's Degree 10 years experience Up to 30%
travel The candidate should have both bench and manufacturing
experience to completely understand the relationship between GMP's,
quality assurance, risk assessment, preservation, the manufacturing
environment, and production. There is a clear linkage between all
of these areas to ensure that a quality product is being
manufactured and delivered to the consumer. Extensive experience in
the manufacturing industry and a strong knowledge of FDA guidelines
and sanitation requirements required with knowledge of cosmetics of
preferred. A minimum of 10 years related experience required.
Strong academic background. Bachelor's degree required; technical
degree in Micro, Chemistry, Life Sciences or equivalent preferred.
