DescriptionThe CFO is an integral member of the of senior
management team and is responsible for financial direction and
oversight of the Tortorella Group at a global and divisional level
across the portfolio. With a focus on operational performance and
growth, the CFO position will be responsible for the
administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the
company while setting the tempo for change management and driving
strategic decisions as the company scales. The CFO will be oriented
toward both strategy and operations, to include the development of
a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that
strategy, proper people systems in place, and the ongoing
development and monitoring of controls designed to preserve company
assets, report accurate financial results, and implement the
critical systems and replicable processes to manage exceptional
returns and ensure operational results.Experience in M&A and
working with PE/VC firms a plus. -Job FunctionsStrategy:
Partner with the CEO and COO on all
operational and strategic issues as they arise; provide strategic
recommendations based on data-driven financial analyses and
projections.Participate in the ongoing strategic planning process
as an integral member of the senior leadership team.Oversee
long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with
the strategic plan.Engage and inform the Finance team and
Department heads on cash flow requirements, commitments and
contingent obligations from changes in the business and operating
model.Drive the financial strategy, instill a financial map for
operating excellence and support strategic decisions as the company
scales, prioritizing measurable value.Serve as a thought leader at
both the portfolio companies' level and across functional aspects
of the business.Take part of acquisition deal processes and perform
extensive due diligence along with the management team.Financial
and Operational Management:
Oversee budgeting, and the
implementation of budgets, so as to monitor progress and present
operational metrics both internally and externally.Ensure that
finance staff maintains financial record systems in accordance with
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles with strong internal
controls, and closely monitor the use of all sources and uses of
funds.Oversee the preparation and distribution of all monthly,
year-to-date, and annual financial reporting materials, metrics and
communications for the Board of Directors and external
stakeholders.Manage cash flow and cash forecasting.Direct all
financial, project-based, and departmental accounting.Coordinate
all financial and related audit activities.Manage and keep up to
date all finance related internal controls, procedures, processes,
information systems and administration, recommending improvements
to the systems in place and managing the systems going
forward.Oversee tracking and recording of investment and endowment
activity and preparation of financial statement footnote
disclosures.Develops supported recommendations about pricing
strategies across the business.Team Management:
Develop and manage direct staff;
provide guidance to other teams outside of direct span of
control.Engage other members of the senior leadership to facilitate
cross-department collaboration that ensures that all financial
positively support the agency's evolving strategy, operational
delivery, and data collection needs.Define change management
initiatives to facilitate continuous improvement.Qualifications:
The CFO will be a seasoned and mature
leader with at least 10-15 years of broad finance
experience.Experience in M&A and working with PE/VC firms a
plus. Ability to negotiate and influence.Strong time management
