The Diversified Business Group is a solutions-oriented business unit within the Company that will support Anthem and other external clients in the pursuit of transforming healthcare. Strategic Client Development Director - Diversified Business Group (DBG) This is a work-from-home opportunity. The Client Partnership Development Director is responsible for strengthening the existing relationships with DBG's largest and most important clients and drive growth across all DBG products. This position--reports to the Staff VP of Strategic Client Experience and Partnerships and is accountable for managing the partnerships and growth agenda for two to three existing strategic clients across DBG.-- Responsibilities include the development and growth of existing, strategic clients in the health plan sector. Also has existing relationships or will build strong relationships with Senior health plan Executives. Primary duties may include but are not limited to:--

  • Develops strategies and executes plans to achieve goals in growth, profitability, retention, and strategic value for existing key clients.
  • Sells the DBG value proposition to assigned clients and provides consultative subject matter expert information on the suite of products offered by DBG.--
  • Designs and implements standard and customized bundles of DBG services to seize unique cost-of-care and quality improvement opportunities for health plan clients.--
  • Partners with the DBG Business Unit's client implementation and management teams to ensure their recognition of value and satisfaction with DBG services.--
  • Builds effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders in support of the client growth agenda.
  • Understands the issues specific to the client and applies knowledge, insight, and experience into strategic recommendations, and also understands the business processes that the DBG solutions support.--
  • Participates in developing product and sales support messaging and materials and leads the overall account planning and renewal strategy.
  • Provides the voice of customer feedback to DBGs product organization and participates in the development of pilot programs for their clients. Qualifications
    • Requires a BA/BS in a healthcare or related field; 7 years of experience in account management, sales, and/or operations in the health care industry; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.-- Preferred Qualifications:
      • MBA preferred.--
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and Executive presence.--
