Job Description Overview Our client is seeking a Construction Commissioning Engineer to support commissioning activities for complex building systems and infrastructure projects. This role involves ensuring that all systems are designed, installed, tested, and maintained according to the owner’s operational requirements. Responsibilities Lead and support commissioning processes for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems Review design documents and specifications to verify compliance with commissioning standards Develop and execute commissioning plans, checklists, and schedules Coordinate with contractors, design teams, and owners to resolve issues and ensure quality delivery Conduct site inspections, functional performance testing , and documentation reviews Prepare detailed commissioning reports and recommendations for system optimization Assist in training operations staff and developing system manuals Stay current with industry standards and best practices (ASHRAE, LEED, etc.) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) EIT, CMIT, or PE certification preferred; working toward CCP, CBCP, or CxA is a plus 3–7 years of experience in construction commissioning or building systems engineering Strong understanding of construction management principles and project controls Proficiency in commissioning software and tools Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
