Description:One of the fastest growing Biotechnology companies in Connecticut is looking to hire an Engineering Technician immediately.In this position, responsibilities will range from the electro-mechanical assembly of capital equipment and subassemblies, calibration and testing of equipment, and troubleshooting problems.Most of the work will be done in house, but there may be some opportunity to travel to customer sites.This is a very hands on role, and this person will spend the majority of their time on the floor, assembling equipment, calibrating, testing, and troubleshooting. This is an extremely intricate device with about 900 parts in total. There are both mechanical and electrical components, but the electrical components are "plug and play" so strong electrical knowledge is not required. The candidate will be following and improving work instructions to assemble the device, and will be working with both manufacturing and R&D.Top Desired Skills:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
• Familiarity with following work instructions
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
