engagement. Educational Alliance’s Community Schools & Youth
Development (CSYD) program delivers high-quality youth development
programs throughout the Lower East Side. These services are
integrated into the school day, after school programs, and summer
enrichment opportunities. Partnering with several NYC public
schools, CSYD collaborates with the NYC Department of Youth &
Community Development (DYCD), NYC Office of Community Schools
(OCS), The Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BGCA), and local school
communities to meet the needs of young people and their families in
all circumstances. Our team of social workers ensures
social-emotional learning is embedded in our work, providing
individualized care and attention when needed We are seeking a part
time Junior Group Leader to play a key role in supporting the
day-to-day operations of the afterschool program. This role
involves mentoring students, assisting with academic support,
accompanying students to and front scheduled activities and
ensuring safe and accurate sign-in and sign-out procedures.
Schedule: Part-time, typically afternoons and based on program
hours and school schedule RESPONSIBILITIES Provide positive
mentorship and guidance to students in the program. Support
students with homework and academic tasks as needed. Escort and
supervise students during transitions to and from extracurricular
activities. Monitor student behavior and foster a safe, inclusive,
and respectful environment. Maintain accurate attendance records,
including daily sign-in and sign-out logs. Communicate effectively
with program staff, parents/guardians, and other mentors. Assist
with the setup and cleanup of program activities. Participate in
staff meetings, training sessions, and supervision as required
QUALIFICATIONS Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsible, reliable, and punctual. Ability to work
collaboratively with a team. High School Diploma or GED CPR/First
Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus Limitations
