Administration. Total # of hours to be worked:. 37.5. Position Focus:. The Assistant Director manages operations for the Office of Inclusion & Diversity (OID) at the Yale School of Management. The Assistant Director is a newly created role within a small, high performing team that oversees a portfolio of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives for the school. The Assistant Director will deliver operational support and structure for the team's initiatives, ensure quality control for all programs, and implement special projects based on goals and objectives. Responsibilities will include project management and the creation of organizational structures to streamline the department's work. The Assistant Director is responsible for data and analytics and setting up metrics to assess impact and to drive strategic decisions. In addition, the Assistant Director creates and delivers marketing and communications across all our constituency groups. This role liaises heavily with SOM community members, SOM departments, and with Yale University. The Assistant Director reports to the Assistant Dean of Inclusion and Diversity. Oversee a portfolio of programs as Assistant Director for OID team.. Oversee operational needs for student programming starting in orientation and throughout the academic year. Lead data and analytics efforts for the department. Solicit, synthesize, and manipulate data on OID initiatives. Draw conclusions from the data and provide recommendations to improve business performance as a result. Identify appropriate data metrics and develop mechanisms to track and assess impact. Drive operational excellence for team. Organize workstreams with the creation of transparent systems and streamlined processes to track all initiatives. Provide regular operational updates to the team. Build a marketing strategy to promote OID events. Craft compelling collateral and customized marketing materials. Plan and execute content strategy for social media channels and other vehicles. Design creative communications content to achieve our objectives. Design and implement special projects and initiatives to deliver school OID commitments.
