Director of Product to join our team and play a pivotal role in
shaping the future of our product. As the Product Team leader,
you'll have the rare opportunity to: refine and drive the product
strategy; scale and nurture a high-performing product organization;
and help bring our vision to life for millions of small and
mid-sized businesses.What You'll Be Doing
- Team Leadership & Growth: Build and scale a high-performing
product team by assessing current team composition, recruiting top
talent, and fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and
continuous improvement.
- Roadmap Development: In collaboration with the COO, refine the
product roadmap, balancing short-term deliverables with long-term
strategic initiatives. Ensure that product development delivers a
measurable impact and is communicated across the organization.
- Product Operations: Refine and develop product development
processes, bringing in modern tools and methodologies, including
those that leverage AI, to optimize the efficiency and
effectiveness of the team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with
engineering and other functional teams to define, prioritize, and
operationalize new product features and initiatives. Strengthen
relationships between Product and other departments, ensuring
seamless collaboration and execution.
- Revenue Diversification: Lead the launch of new
revenue-generating products that diversify Relay's platform,
expanding the product portfolio and ensuring the company's growth
trajectory.Who You Are
- At least 5 years of experience managing and growing a team of
Product Managers with diverse experiences
- Proven experience in shaping product vision and translating
strategy into actionable plans
- Track record of launching successful B2B software products from
conception to market entry and growth, ideally with some experience
building for SMB customers
- Experience operating in a fast-paced startup environment,
demonstrating agility, resourcefulness, and adaptability
- Proven comfort with ambiguity and rapid decision-making
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey
complex concepts clearly to different audiences (engineering,
executives, customers, investors)
- Track record of aligning cross-functional teams effectively
(engineering, design, marketing, risk, etc.)
- Skilled in using analytics, customer insights, and market
research to drive decisions and prioritize roadmaps
- Strong proficiency in analytics tools, KPI setting, and
performance trackingBonus Points
- Fintech or Financial Services experience
- Technical background or ability to comfortably discuss
technical issues with engineering leadership (although deep
technical expertise is not essential)
