Job Description:

The Hopkins School Business Office is seeking a Finance and Accounting Associate to work with the Finance and Accounting Manager and Chief Financial and Operating Officer in all areas relating to finance and financial accounting and reporting, including: Duties and Responsibilities

• Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems to ensure adherence to GAAP and the maintenance of internal controls that ensure accurate and timely financial statements
• Addressing deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, treasury management, student billing, contribution and pledge accounting, accounts payable, fixed asset accounting, account analysis, reconciliation, and financial reporting
• Ensuring compliance with various regulatory agencies and working with the Finance and Accounting Manager in year-end audit preparation, budgeting, and forecast activities Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills
    • Exceptional attention to detail and dedication to accuracy and reliability
    • Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to solve complex problems
    • Proficiency with database and information systems as well as Microsoft Excel
