Robert Half is partnering with a company in Amityville seeking a Bookkeeper to join its growing team! This position is in person, NOT remote. The Bookkeeper maintains the records of all financial transactions utilizing Quickbooks and a proprietary software program. Assists the Accountant by entering, compiling and verifying financial data on a monthly basis.
Responsibilities:

• 
  Preparation of Monthly and Quarterly financial reports and excel spreadsheet account analysis, as requested by Accountant.
  
  
• 
  Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements, as needed.
  
  
• 
  Maintain historical records by filing all financial, related documents
  
  
• 
  Clean up of PY financial accounts, as needed
  
  
• 
  Review of A/R and A/P
  
  
• 
  G/L, Accounts, Inventory, Leases
  
  
• 
  Journal Entries
  
  
• 
  Implement and track inventory procedures for purchase, leasing, and sales.
  
  
  Requirements
  Qualifications:
  --- Minimum 1-2 years experience in a bookkeeping function
  --- Proficiency with Quickbooks desktop
  --- Strong communication and writing skills
  --- Analytical / data-driven mindset; good with numbers and spreadsheets
  --- Maintain confidentiality
  --- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel
  --- Proficiency with computers: database and systems, incl Data import and export
  --- Ability to work hours required: Mon - Fri, 9am - 6pm (includes 1 hour lunch)
