The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst researches, plans and evaluates the effectiveness of processes, systems, procedures or methodologies through review and evaluation of detailed data. A fully qualified, seasoned professional with a full understanding of the job role who works on more complicated issues facing the department. Receives general instruction from manager on new assignments but little to no direction in day-to-day work. Typically reports to a manager or Senior Manager and may mentor or supervise one or two less experienced professional staff.This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Monday and Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs. Responsibilities- Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers- Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences- Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge- Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements- May provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues- May directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools- Researches, plans and evaluates the effectiveness of processes, systems, procedures or methodologies through review and evaluation of detailed dataOther Expectations:Being part of the Audit and Business Consultation team means that you'll be a part of a dynamic team that works in many different areas. Given that Canon Inc. is a publicly traded company, this role will also function as a part of the SOX control testing team and will require testing of information on a sample basis to support the external audit opinion. QualificationsPlease note: We comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, orders and mandates, including those we may be required to follow as a federal government contractor/subcontractor.- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 5+ years of related experience. Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or MIS discipline, along with strong analytical and communications skills and thorough knowledge of MS Office- Proficiency with Python coding language and Tableau (Prep, Desktop & Server) is a must- SQL experience is also preferred- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy and ability to drive to completionThe company will not pursue or support visa sponsorship for this position.
